tourism around delhi

If you have become oversaturated with your busy schedule & your long rejuvenating vacations are far away from your sight , your nerves are aching from metro’s traffic chaos & you are crying for a short but nice vacation. If you love self yet untiring driving; staying Delhi or nearby then turn your vehicle to Lansdown, A nearest but unexploited beautiful hill station.
Reaching here is quite easy, If you starts journey early in morning like 4 o’clock uncongested & good roads bring you here on comfortable time.
Route is like this Delhi- Merrut-Mavana-miranpur –bijnor-nazeebabad –kotdwar-dugadda –Lansdown
Up to kotdwar you will be in plains I started my drive on 4 am & I was at kotdwar on 8.30am. from here hill starts Lansdown reads 42 Km from here . I found smooth curves up to 20 KM then these became little wilder. It costs around 1 to 1& ½ hour.
Alternatively If you are starting your drive from  northen part of delhi or southern haryana thenDelhi-NH1 –bahalgarh-rt turn to bagpat-bagpat-badot-budana-khatauli-miranpur –bijnor can be yours,   Options for accommodation are not much wide few economy hotels located near to bus stand
In others you can spot 5-6 resorts here
Two of Garhwal  tourism one is near bus stand – it is not a good option
Other at tifin top – beautiful location  , only huts available 2200/night
Fairy dale- near bus stand nicely located, better maintained rent 1500 to 3000
Blue pine it 7-8 KM before lansdown maintained
Anand retreat  jungle resort – it is in amid the jungle 3 km from main Gandhi chawk  you require to drive through kuccha road –good property , nicely located ,no traffic 1500 to 2000/ per night  a different experience but maintenance is not up to mark
You can find difficulty on weekend so you require booking in advance, on week day just walk in
What to see
Not very much in this quiet, clean town to see but you can spend 2 -3 days very comfortably
Tarkeshwer mandir – it is 38 km from lansdown , there is bifurcation after dugadda one road goes to lansdown other to tarkeshwar , scenic but curvy road , nice & quiet place you can visit here in advance before going to Lansdown
